Grace Church is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor of Worship. The primary responsibility is to oversee the worship and music ministry of Grace Church, which has a praise band and a moderately contemporary style. Secondary responsibility would be to serve in one other area of ministry according to spiritual gifts and interests. Specific responsibilites: To give administrative leadership to the entire music ministry; provide strong upfront leadership of the Praise Band; give oversight to the Praise Band and lead regular rehearsals; give oversight to the techincal support personnel; participate as an active member of the Worship Team; build a close working relationship with the Deacon of Worship; participate in Pastoral Staff Meetings and Elder/Deacon Meetings; and develop a strategic plan for taking worship to the next level. Grace Church is looking for strong platform leadership utilizing guitar, keyboard or voice, with the ability to engage the congregation in participatory worship. This individual should have strong organizational skills. Grace Church is a growing and dynamic congregation that has experienced over 400 conversions to Christ in the past 5 years. We are looking for someone with a deep devotion to Christ, a heart for worship and an ability to lead our people to a deeper appreciation and involvement in worship. This individual will be a gifted musician and possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree. Agreement with the Statement of Faith of Converge Worldwide (Baptist General Conference) is required. Gladstone is a town of 5,000 with surrounding population of 35,000, located on the shores of beautiful Little Bay de Noc in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. A large growing church in a small community surrounded by water & forests makes this a very special place to serve.
