The primary responsibility is to provide the Pastor and the Pastoral Staff with secretarial assistance which allows them the opportunity to concentrate on their particular areas of ministry. Expectations of this position include being a Christian with high moral standards, able to keep confidentiality, good organizational skills, self motivation, confidence in one's self, loyalty to the Pastor, and a positive attitude.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. --Mastery of basic computer skills including Microsoft Office 2007 (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point), Outlook e-mail, and a willingness to learn new technology. --Compose letters, information sheets, graphics, brochures, posters, flyers, bulletins, newsletters, bulk mailings, etc. with a high quality of excellence for communication. --Maintain an updated database of membership, attendance, visitors, prospects, etc. in a final report form. --Maintain an up-to-date calendar of all church activities and use of building. --Demonstrate interpersonal skills and a delightful attitude with visitors, congregational members, and staff as office receptionist. --Exhibit personal discretion and integrity concerning information pertaining to church life and ministry. --Perform any other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
