Thank you for taking the time to view our information. Horizon Christian Fellowship in Rancho Santa Fe, CA is looking for a pastor of High School/Young Adults who possesses a dynamic teaching gift to disciple students and a passion to reach out to bring non-churched students to Christ.
Horizon is a large Calvary Chapel church located on a 30 acre campus in beautiful San Diego County. We have six weekly services and many different ministries through which we seek to fulfill our mission of WINNING a person to Jesus Christ, DISCIPLING a person in Jesus Christ, and SENDING a person for Jesus Christ.
Primary Responsibilities:
Teach at weekly services as well as special events and community outreaches.
Develop mentoring relationships with students by being involved in their lives.
Expand our current presence at High School Campus Clubs
Creative planning and programming of youth services
Planning and hosting community outreaches/events
Plan and oversee monthly calendar and student events (i.e. camps, lock-ins, various activities throughout the month)
Long-term strategy for attraction and retention of students and their families
Recruiting, training, and developing volunteer staff leadership through ongoing discipleship
Creating and implementing yearly goals and budget.
The ideal candidate will be:
A born again Christian who is in love with Jesus Christ and is passionate and enthusiastic about their calling to minister to youth.
Be an exceptional speaker and communicator of God's Word
Have experience in building and growing a Youth Ministry program
Have a demonstrated ability to recruit and develop a team of volunteer leaders
Be able to create an environment where students feel welcome, encounter Jesus and are challenged to have a growing and vibrant faith
Be disciplined, organized and self-motivated
Have outstanding leadership and communication skills
The candidate does not need to possess a degree although some college is necessary
