We are a new church plant in downtown Hartford. Most of our members come from Glastonbury, West Hartford, and South Windsor. Our specialty is children's programming. We are welcoming and affirming. Position pays 40K per year. Full-time during school year, part-time in the summer.Objectives:
Teach - Teach God's Word, primarily to children, in an entertaining and accurate manner
Build relationships - Build warm and loving relationships with every child (and parents)
Sell - Increase number of visitors to our Familytime service to one per Sunday
Recruit volunteers and plan events - Start three new Spirit Clubs per year
Preach – Preach adult sermon once per month
Your interests - Assist Pastor with wherever you are most gifted
Responsibilities:
SPIRIT CLUB - after-school discipleship program (Preschool, Elementary, and Middle School)
1. Teach approximately three Spirit Clubs in host homes once per week during school year.
2. Produce weekly newsletter for each club.
3. Supplement or adapt curriculum as necessary, choosing songs and games.
4. Encourage all church parents to host a Spirit Club
5. Recruit and train talented and spiritually mature paid Spirit Club teachers. Hold monthly teacher meetings.
6. Surprise visit Spirit Clubs and call hosts and parents to monitor teacher's performance. Replace below-average teachers.
7. Raise funds to support Spirit Clubs by holding an annual gala in June and approaching corporations and individuals (when you are not teaching clubs over the summer).
8. Ensure all teachers pass a background check and all church safety policies are followed at club meetings.
9. Meet weekly with Pastor and monthly with full staff.
FAMILYTIME – 45 minute worship service for children and families (our biggest)
1. Emcee the service: Virtue Intro, Communication Cards, Offering, Announcements, and Landing
2. Substitute preach 2-6 Sundays per year.
3. Help Director with scripts, casting, and rehearsals from time to time.
ZINETIME – Sunday School for K-5 during Sunday Celebration (10:30 adult service)
1. Adapt 252 Basic curriculum to build faith skills such as how to read Bible, how to hear God's voice, how to deal with unanswered prayers, how to experience the Holy Spirit, how to build fellowship, how to deal with anger, how to speak up, how to use your gifts to serve others, how to manage your allowance, how to keep up on global Christianity, how to take care of your body, or how to talk with someone from another religion.

1. Recruit, train, and supervise Nursery Director and Assistant (may be volunteer).

1. Organize and man church booth at local fairs (games and Doodle).
2. Organize volunteers and lead church group at loca
