First Wesleyan Church is a thriving congregation in High Point, North Carolina averaging approximately 500+ in our main sanctuary in worship each weekend. We are passionate about leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Our worship ministry pursues a high level of excellence in original artistry, creativity, production & technology, and authentic spirit-filled worship. We Practice a worship style that we call Narrative Worship. We call it that because we believe the worship experience should take the congregation on a journey. It is worship that takes you through the drama of God's story; a reenactment of the gospel. In our worship services we strive to maintain seven standards.

7. Narrative Worship Is Sacramental—Where We Dialogue With God Through The Sacraments As A Means Of Grace
We are looking for a full time worship leader who can work closely with our senior pastor to create memorable, inspiring, life changing worship experiences. This person must bring passion, creativity and excellence to our worship. They must be proficient at leading vocally, and must have experience leading and building teams of musicians and vocalists as well as leading orchestras and working with choirs. We have a large volunteer base so you must have a heart for volunteer development and recruitment. You must be a team player as well as be able to lead a worship planning team through the creative/planning process.
Some of the essential character qualities we are looking for...(1) Authentic, mature relationship with God (2) grounded in Biblical truth (3) love for and ability to relate well to people (4) strong work ethic (5) self motivated (6) team player.
Basic responsibilities.... (1) Oversee the entire worship arts ministry (band, orchestra, choir, sound, video, lighting, graphics) (2) lead the instrumental and vocal teams (recruit, resource, direct, instruct, correct and encourage them) (3) Work with senior pastor to put together weekly worship sets for Sunday worship experience.
