Part Time salaried position, 10-20 hours per week, to lead and administrate worship at our start-up second-site location in the Short Pump area of Richmond. Competitive salary will be commensurate with experience and skill. Third Presbyterian is a dynamic evangelical congregation. We currently provide four Sunday morning services (two traditional and two contemporary) and we are adding a fifth service at our new second site in Short Pump (far West-end suburb of Richmond). Worship at the new location will be contemporary while incorporating revised traditional hymns and liturgical elements.
The new worship leader will work closely with existing F/T music staff in planning services and recruiting team members. He or she will need to be competent to lead from guitar or keyboard as the team will initially be small.
The ideal candidate will be:
* A technically skilled musician in their abilities;
* A team builder, to mentor and train members of the worship team; and
* A worshipper, to lead and engage with the worship team and congregation and engage in an active relationship with the lead ministter at our second site.
