Friendswood United Methodist Church, a growing 3,200 member church located in the Houston Bay Area, is seeking a full-time Director of Children's and Family Ministry who loves children and has a passion to help them become champions for Christ.

Must be person who is outgoing, energetic, creative and who is a self-starter, possessing the leadership, team-building and organizational skills to oversee and grow a comprehensive ministry to children, including two Sunday School hours, a tween program, sixth-grade confirmation, nursery, Vacation Bible School and other summer activities.

Candidate must be open to a children's church or rotation model for Sunday school and be willing to think outside the box to engage children to effectively communicate biblical truths to children and their families.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Christian education, childhood development or elementary education and previous experience with demonstrated effectiveness in children's ministry. Salary and benefits are negotiable and commensurate with experience.
