Job Description:
Kingwood United Methodist Church in Kingwood, Texas is seeking to hire a Director of Children’s Ministry who would be responsible for the creation, implementation, and administration of Christian education programs for children ages pre-school through 5th grade. The new Directory would work with the Children’s Council to facilitate creative children’s programming throughout the year such as: VBS, Live Nativity, Flower Cross, etc. The Directory would also work with the network of volunteers who minister to the children weekly at KUMC.
The Director of Children’s Ministry position is a full-time position and the job includes development of the Children’s Ministry programs and administrative duties. We seek an enthusiastic follower of Jesus Christ who has a passion for sharing their faith with children. The desired qualities for this position is to have an individual who is energetic, loves children, is nurturing, resourceful and is able to build and maintain a team of volunteers. Certification of Children’s Education and a Bachelor’s degree with 2 – 5 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
